Quality System components are shown below in order of precedence. The system has been divided into
5 sections:
Level 1 - policies: QualitySystemManual - The Quality System Manual is the highest level document which describes the policies of the Quality system and drives all other components of the system. The Corporate Mission and Quality Policy (see above),The
Organizational_Chart and the Quality System Overview/Interaction (see section 4.1.1) are part of these highest level policy documents. Responsible Authors:
Main.ExecutiveManagementGroup. (This section of the system is viewable by any interested party.)
Level 2 - processes / procedures: QualitySystem/QualityProcedures.WebHome - Documents describing Quality Procedures/processes used to deliver conforming products. These processes describe how we operate to meet the requirements of our Quality System Manual, AS9100 Rev D and other customer requirements. Responsible Authors: Main.QualityManagementGroup and Main.OperationsManagementGroup. These documents may only be viewed by registered users. (Authorized users have access to these documents.)
Level 3 - task level instructions: QualitySystem/WorkInstructions.WebHome - Documents describing detailed day to day activities supporting Quality Procedures and Quality Policy. Work Instructions level documents are task oriented (versus process oriented). These are maintained at the department and activity level. Responsible Authors: Main.LeadPersonGroup. Controlled Quality System Web
All documentation of the Quality System for Kreis Tool exists in this electronic web. Any printed copy of this documentation should be regarded as "reference only." The electronic copy is the only controlled document. Interested parties must register to gain access to the Quality System documents.
A Copy of the Quality manual is available to Employees, Customers, Vendors, and Regulatory Agencies via the Organization internet Website address
www.kreisquality.com.
Kreis Tool encourages interested parties to review our quality system and make comments or suggestions for improvement. Interested Parties, Customers, Vendors, Employees and Third Party auditors can obtain a login registration with appropriate authority granted by contacting Steve Kreis via email or phone.
Within this System policies, procedures and work instructions are cross linked to provide for a better understanding of how components support each other and international standards (AS 9100 Rev. D and ISO 9001:2015). Those links are highlighted.
This web based system has been designed to facilitate an environment of continuous improvement and change based on collaboration of all parties having ownership in the operation of the system. The web based design provides that
ONLY authorized and responsible users can modify policy, procedures and work instructions within the guidelines set forth in the system. In addition, any registered user, comprised of employees, suppliers and customers, may comment on the system (
QualitySystem/UserComments.WebHome). Those comments become a reference only part of the system to be used to develop and improve quality documentation. For example, while a shop employee may not have authority and responsibility to maintain a given quality procedure, he/she may comment on that procedure with an objective of improving overall quality or clarifying a procedure or work instruction. All users of the system (Customers, Employees and Suppliers) can view the controlled system at any time via internet access. This easy reference to the entire system facilitates delivery of products which meet customer specifications.
The software used to operate the system is TWiki version
v2.1.8, Plugin API version
2.4. The software allows for automatic tracking of revision history and authors of all revisions. Any previous revision of any policy, procedure or work instruction can be viewed.
QualitySystem/UserComments.WebHome - Not directly a part of the Quality System but an important component of the Continuous Improvement activity of the Company, these are the comments of all Users of the System, including Employees, Customers and Vendors. Users can freely comment here to communicate improvement ideas applicable to upper level documents. Contributors:
